Over previous years the team have transitioned from developing motorsport's future stars across Ginetta programmes to running in the world's most prestigious races as a specialist McLaren Customer Racing team.
The Wakefield-based squad has scored multiple championship victories in McLaren machinery, most recently securing the 2024 British GT GT4 championship, 2023 GT Open overall and British GT GT4 Silver Cup titles, winning the Lenovo Gulf 12 Hours & 24 Hours of Spa, securing a podium at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona, the 2022 IMSA Endurance Cup, GT World Challenge Europe's Gold Cup Endurance, Asian Le Mans GT and 2021 GT Open Pro-Am titles...and that's only naming a few!

2025 sees Optimum Motorsport continue to compete in multiple with the McLaren 720S GT3 EVO including a two-car effort across the 2024/25 Asian Le Mans Series, a duo of entries into British GT, a full season campaign in the International GT Open and various championships across Europe.
The team also operate the US-based Inception Racing programme based out of Austin, Texas. Optimum Motorsport provide full technical, engineering and sporting support to the #70 Inception Racing Ferrari 296 GT3, competing in the full season of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship.
The team enter into a third consecutive season with the Artura GT4, derived and designed on the previous 570 model.
With championship success in British GT in both 2023 and 2024, a dual GT4 Artura effort in British GT for 2025 is sure to bring home some silverware.
